J & B is a fairly cheap whiskey that only 4 years, while Johnny Walker Red Label, Johnny Walker, the cheapest brands, less than 8 years. In mixtures of whiskey, the age is everything. Chivas now, smoking is a much more blended Scotch. This requires a lot of time to adjust. While Chivas is good when using water or soda, I think that most drinkers prefer to drink whiskey neat.
